Travis Hammock – Founder & Owner
Travis Hammock is the Founder and Owner of the Atlanta Takeover Men’s Basketball Team, an organization established in February 2023 with a mission to develop athletes, foster competitive excellence, and create lasting community impact through the game of basketball. Under his leadership, Atlanta Takeover has emerged as a rising program built on discipline, opportunity, and player development.
A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Hammock’s passion for basketball began at an early age and has evolved into a lifelong commitment to both playing and coaching. His foundation was built through local recreation leagues, where he developed a strong understanding of team dynamics, fundamentals, and mentorship.
Over the years, Hammock has gained extensive coaching experience across multiple levels of the game. His background includes coaching in local recreation leagues, contributing to AAU programs, and participating in high school summer league development. Throughout his journey, he has worked with athletes at various stages, helping them grow both on and off the court.
In addition to traditional coaching, Hammock has made a meaningful impact through community-based initiatives. He previously served as Director of the Community Engagement Program within a church league, where he used basketball as a platform to mentor youth, strengthen relationships, and promote purpose-driven development.
Beyond basketball, Hammock brings a strong background in business development. His professional experience has equipped him with the strategic vision needed to build and sustain an organization. He applies this expertise to Atlanta Takeover, focusing on structure, brand growth, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
Today, Travis Hammock leads Atlanta Takeover with a clear vision centered on excellence, culture, and opportunity. His mission is to build a program that not only competes at a high level, but also develops athletes into leaders—preparing them for success both on the court and beyond.
