Who Are We?
Atlanta Takeover is a premier men’s pro-am basketball organization founded in December 2022 by Travis Hammock and Terrance Montgomery. Built from the foundation of the Atlanta Midnight League, the organization was created to raise the standard for player development, exposure, and high-level competition in the city of Atlanta.
We are more than just a team—we are a platform for athletes who are serious about growth, discipline, and competing at the next level.
OUR STORY
Atlanta Takeover was built with intention.
Before stepping onto the professional stage, the organization spent countless hours developing players, building chemistry, and establishing a culture rooted in accountability and hard work. Every practice, every rep, and every decision was made with long-term success in mind.
In February 2023, Atlanta Takeover made its professional debut through exhibition matchups, setting the tone for what was to come. Later that year, the organization officially joined the Maximum Basketball League, marking its first full professional season.
During that time, Assistant Coach Gary Praylo joined the staff, playing a key role in strengthening team structure and elevating player development.
While the inaugural season ended with a 4–11 record, it became the foundation for growth—not a setback.

Built Through Adversity
Atlanta Takeover responded to its first season with a focused and disciplined offseason.
The organization retooled its roster, raised its training standards, and refined its competitive mindset. Every weakness was addressed. Every opportunity for growth was taken seriously.
That commitment led to a breakthrough year in 2024.
Atlanta Takeover emerged as one of the top teams in the league, capturing the Regular Season Division Championship and earning the #1 ranking among 38 teams at its peak.
This rapid rise wasn’t accidental—it was the result of discipline, preparation, and a culture that refuses to settle.
